Description:

The Mile Oak Primary project involved the stripping up of the old existing waterproofing, re-decking new 18mm OSB ready for the installation of the new waterproofing system. The new system incorporated a tapered insulation scheme to help drain the water correctly from the roof. Associated works to the project included the replacement of two existing rooflights, boarding of redundant windows, raising of cavity trays to suit new insulation height and full fascia soffits and guttering replaced around the perimeter.

Sussex Asphalte is an approved installer of Garland Waterproofing Systems, whose operatives have been properly trained in the installation of this system. Sussex Asphalte successfully managed the works ensuring that it was completed in six weeks during the School’s summer holiday. This meant that we avoided operatives working on site during term time, minimising disruption to the school, and health and safety risks.
