Mastic Asphalt

Description:

Sussex Asphalte were appointed principle contractor to carry out residential works on two seperate roofs in Lewes, East Sussex. The roofs were fully stripped, asphalted and tiled to suit, GRC promenade tiles were chosen to protect the newly laid mastic asphalt and enable residents to use garden furniture etc without risk of damaging the asphalt. Access to the back roofs was complicated as is quite common off Lewes’ historic high street. The Project involved replacing structural joists and re-levelling to ensure water falls to the outlets, just in time for the rainy weather.

Throughout the project it was key to enable access to the residents at all time’s, this was carefully managed by Sussex Asphalte’s experienced operatives to ensure minimal disruption.
