Reinforced Bitumen Membrane

Description:

Sussex Asphalte were working for Bishop & Levett in partnership with Morgan Carn. The works included the renewal of 4 roofs comprising of three felt roofs and one liquid roof all carried out in Moy Materials.

The larger Gym roof required stripping the existing waterproofing membrane down to the existing woodwool slab which required additional safety measure due to the fragile deck, this was then renewed in a full three layer system, the roof adjoining to the gym entailed stripping and replacing alongside the replacement of five roof lights. The Tank House required attention due severe water damage which we replaced with hardie plank cladding and new structural deck laid in a two layer MOY system. The final roof was initially due to be replaced in felt however once on site, with further conversations with the manufacturer it was recommended we used the MOY liquid waterproofing system as it was a more suitable application. The operatives on site worked tirelessly on site to complete the large amount of works during the 6 weeks summer period, all whilst keeping quality of work to a high standard.
