Project Description

As part of a wider school refurbishment project Sussex Asphalte were responsible for the mastic asphalt coverings to this school classroom. We laid 150m² flooring grade asphalt to the pre-prepared deck which was laid directly onto glass tissue fibre underlay, laying new asphalt in two coats and finishing with two coats of solar reflective paint. We had one day to ensure the flooring works were laid and completed during our busy half term scheduling. This meant we used much of our asphalt workforce and created a detailed plan of how to complete the job which was all carried out to to IKO’S specification.
