Reinforced Bitumen Membrane (Moy Materials)

Description:

Sussex Asphalte were appointed main contractor on this project to renew the flat roof to the three storey block of flats (block D of the Marlows).

Covering 270m² the installation was undertaken in Moy Reinforced Bitumen Membrane. The removal of existing felt covering, the laying of a new vapour control layer accommodating for new insulation and new reinforced bitumen membrane roof covering alongside associated works (temporary removal of satellite dishes, cables and disposal of old roof vents).

Rotten timber deck was replaced and insulation was removed from the roof structure in between the joists the prevent interstitial condensation.
