Description:

The original developers of the parade wanted to see a significant improvement to the poor EPC scores achieved for the flats on the parade.

The aim was to bring the insulation standard forward from virtually non existent 1960s to as required by present regulations. The work involved removing single skinned roof lights and replacing with triple skinned replacements and insulating over the top of the party brick wall structures between each unit.

Sussex Asphalte carried out the work to a high standard and to the delight of the tenants. Across the property industry landlords have been working hard to improve energy efficiency and successful adaptation of flat roofs has been a key path to achieving this goal. The application of the Icopal insulated waterproofing system by Sussex Asphalte extended the lifespan of the roof by at least a further 20 years whilst offering total safety, minimal disruption and noise.
