Lead Sheet Cladding

Description:

Lead is a natural material which is highly recycled and can be reused due to the longevity of the material especially, we fitted a new code 5 lead sheet cladding around and on top of large newly-built box casing. We also provided lead sleeves which were welded to box as to weather the existing pipework. On completion of lead cladding, we fitted a new Code 4 lead cover flashing and made good with a non-corrosive liquid lead sealant.

The outcome not only looks smart, but has the longevity of 40-70 years, it’s carbon footprint is also lower than for other hard metals because of its relatively low melting point. It has also been proven that higher concentrations of lead in run-off water has no negative environmental impact.
